TOPIC: TOWARDS GREEN RECOVERY IN ASEAN POST-PANDEMIC
OVERVIEW
Greening ASEAN is CARI’s sustainability and climate focused event featuring influential policy-makers in a highly-interactive 2-hour session, addressing current and emerging trends and issues faced by the industry and regional governments in recovering from the global pandemic.
Greening ASEAN was initiated as a result of the COVID-19 crisis that struck the world and is projected to have contracted the ASEAN economy by 3.8% in 2020. As part of the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework (ACRF) comprising of five broad strategies that serve as the consolidated exit strategy from the COVID-19 crisis, Greening ASEAN narrows the focus to the fifth strategic pillar on Advancing Towards a More Sustainable and Resilient Future – with a clear focus on climate aligned agenda towards long-term socio-economic recovery.
The “Greening ASEAN: Towards Green Recovery in ASEAN Post-Pandemic” will be held in collaboration with our supporting partners, ASEAN Business Advisory Council and ASEAN Business Advisory Council Malaysia and aims to discuss major concerns and requirements towards ASEAN recovery and contribution to the overall global climate agenda.
