TOPIC: COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan Series | How can ASEAN Bounce Back: Industry 4.0 and the Forces of Change in ASEAN ~ Swedish Industry Voices in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
OVERVIEW
Before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Industry 4.0 (IR4.0) was a buzzword embraced by businesses in ASEAN and across the world. A recent study made by Business Sweden in Southeast Asia, targeting 300 manufacturers spread across the region, indicated that four out of five manufacturers were budgeting for IR4.0 investments by 2020 and one out of three had a IR4.0 strategy in place.
But how has the pandemic shifted those priorities for Swedish businesses operating in the region? What are the technologies redefining industrial practices and what are the challenges faced by companies wanting to adopt IR4.0? How ASEAN harnesses IR4.0 will have significance considering the importance of the manufacturing sector to the region.
Join us as we listen to Swedish industry voices on ASEAN’s readiness for IR4.0, how Swedish companies have responded to the pandemic and how the region can adopt IR4.0 in a post-pandemic world.
